MESSAGE
Government College of Education for Women, Skardu is the only teacher education institute of Baltistan Division. The college produces quality teachers to promote quality education. As teachers are the change agents, therefore, the message to my student teachers is to be positive in life and try to be independent as well as self-learners.
A teacher should be reflective, creative, responsible, honest, and self-learner. Reflective people always think about self-development. Creative people always avoid copying others. Responsible and honest people always do the right things even when no one is looking at them. Last, but not least, self-learners are always keen to learn new things even there is not any pressure of examination and so on.

Academic Year
The academic session for BS-Education starts on the 1st of September of every year. The college follows the semester system for the BS Education program. The duration of the education program is four years consisting of eight semesters. However, a student can get the degree of Associate Degree in Education (ADE) after completion of two years.
Allocated Seats for BS Education
A total of seventy seats have been allocated for the BS Education program, of which 35 are for males and 35 for females. 50% of seats have been reserved for students of the science group (F.SC) and 50% for the arts group (F.A).
Migration/ College Transfer
The migration/college transfer is not permitted under normal circumstances. However, a student can be given admission as a migration/college transfer case if he/she meets the following criteria.

- Seats are available in the required program.
- His/her parents are working in a government department and have been transferred to Skardu and provide documentary proof to this effect.
- He/she fulfills all the requirements for admission to the college.
- The courses studied in other colleges are the same as in this college.
- He/she has 75% attendance in the previous college before leaving it and provides documentary proof.
